This policy explains how asiamart.nz (“we”, “us”) handles personal information when you use our website and related services in New Zealand.

1. What we collect

• Account data when you sign in (for example name and email from Google if you use Google sign-in).
• Order and delivery data you provide at checkout (shipping address, recipient name, and similar fields needed to fulfil your order).
• Payment data is processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Technical data such as browser type, IP address, and cookies/session identifiers needed to run the site and keep you signed in.
• Seller content you upload (for example product images) when you use seller tools, stored with our file hosting provider.

2. Why we use it

To operate the marketplace: authenticate users, process orders, connect buyers and sellers, prevent fraud, improve security, and meet legal obligations.

3. Sharing

We share data with service providers where needed to run the site, including Stripe (payments), Google (sign-in and, if enabled, address autocomplete), and Cloudflare / hosting (infrastructure and seller image storage). We do not sell your personal information.

4. Retention

We keep information for as long as your account exists and as needed for orders, tax, and legal records, then delete or anonymise it when no longer required.

5. Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you may request access to or correction of your personal information. Contact us through Help. We will respond within a reasonable time.

6. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for session management (for example keeping you logged in) and core site functionality.

7. Changes

We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date will change when we do.
